Churchill’s por­trait, “Lady Castlerosse,” cir­ca 1930. This was paint­ed in Clementine’s pres­ence. It was among the paint­ings Lady Churchill set out for pub­lic dis­play by the Nation­al Trust at Chartwell, where it still hangs. (Churchill Her­itage Ltd., reprint­ed by kind permission)
