&lt;em&gt;I don&#039;t know, but it sounds possible. CSC was a woman of high standards and a strict sense of propriety, and Thompson was a rough diamond given to certain extravagances, so they wouldn&#039;t have been natural pals.&lt;/em&gt; —RML
